Prayer Tools

If you are like most Christians, praying daily can seem to be an insurmountable task.  To consider praying for a continuous hour or more daily, for most, is like asking them to physically move a mountain.  But really, prayer does not have to be so burdensome.  It is more about perspective than anything else.  The intent of the page is to provide you with tools to assist in your daily communication with God, the Father.

These tools are presented in a downloadable pdf format for your ease of use.  Just click on the link and the page should open, then you will see a menu at the bottom of the page.  Click on the printer icon and follow the instructions.  To get back to this page, click on the back arrow.

The Full Gospel Hour of Prayer

This is a presentation of topics that, when spending just 6 minutes in each topic, will take you through 1 hour of prayer.  Some of these areas will take a little effort initially to reach your targeted time of 6 minutes.  Others will not be difficult at all.  However, the idea is that spending time in various topics of prayer will provide freedom and confidence as you approach the throne of grace with your prayers, petitions and supplications.

War Room Monthly Activity

As you become more comfortable with the idea of concentrated prayer, this helpful tool will keep you on task daily.  It is a very simple tool to use.  In the top left corner there is room, next to the War Room label, to put the month and year.  Down the left hand side of the worksheet, you would write in your prayer topics and requests.  Across the top, you will see numbers that correspond with each day of the month.  For example, page one has days 1 – 16 and page two lists days 17 – 31.  You would simply place an “x” or check mark in the column and row for the corresponding day that you prayed for that particular topic/request.  This tool not only keeps you organized regarding your various topics/request, but also helps you to be more consistent in your efforts toward prayer.  Page three is also very important, as this is where you will record your victories through answered prayer.

Praying For Your Pastor Daily

It is vital that we, as Christians, faithfully pray for our pastors, and their spouses, daily.  There is a tremendous amount of weight that goes with the job of shepherding a church congregation.  As we take on this assignment, it can become arduous and very repetitious unless we have some specific ideas of how to pray.  This tool takes seven different topics and gives some specific suggestions for targeting prayer support for your pastor.

Use this tool to pray for others in your life as well.  We are all called to be ambassadors for Christ, having the word and ministry of reconciliation for all people.  Therefore, the topics found in this document would be appropriate for prayer over all Christians.

Praying For Our Country

If there was ever a time for prayer over our nation, it is now!  Without naming various woes that are running rampant in this nation, it is time that Christians in this nation unite to petition the LORD to move on our behalf.  It is not time to wage physical war against humanity, but to take our stand against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places!  It is time to put on the armor of God and stand up for righteousness!  If we don’t make our stand, we will lose the Godly heritage that this nation was founded upon.

If you are struggling with how to prayer for our nation, here are two different prayers that have been authored by Godly people.  If we can just get Christians to humble ourselves and pray, seeking God’s face and turning from our wicked ways, the Scriptures tell us that He will hear us from heaven, then forgive our sins and heal our land.  That’s a promise we can count on, but it will take a determined effort by many to accomplish this.
